This week the Bros are back and at Newcon PDX, Portland’s newest and finest Anime+ convention. Not only does Newcon cover our beloved Chinese cartoons, but it also serves the Sci-Fi/Steampunk/Comic crowd. We give our commentary on and off the con floor.
As a special treat, we brought along P-Chan AKA Patrick ‘The Trick’ AKA P-rizzle himself. He immediately takes over all MC duties.
Merry Christmas brothers and sisters! Did you think you wouldn’t receive a present from us? Think again! In this special episode we read and answer the emails you sent in!
This is definitely more awkward than the time I caught mommy kissing Santa Claus.
We hope you enjoyed our answers, feel free to email us again sometime!
Hey gang, what’s shaking? Just in time for Kurisumasu we have a review of the movie Steins;Gate: Fuka Ryōiki no Déjà vu AKA Burdened Domain of Déjà vu. This film is a sequel to the sci-fi time-travel series that we love so much, and it doesn’t fail to provide hacking and gates. Hacking to the gate? I guess you could put it that way.
Okarin inspects his harem.
There are some spoilers during the review as we discuss mechanics, but as usual there’s plenty to “enjoy” before that happens. Besides, the Blu-ray is out now, and it includes English subtitles so you should really check it out!
Welcome to the Anibros show, your one stop shop for anime chatter! This week we discuss several cartoons, including classic comedies such as Golden Boy and Sexy Commando Gaiden: Sugoiyo!! Masaru-san. We touch on a few more things but eventually make our way to Summer Wars, a swell film that teaches us a valuable lesson about the REAL LIFE social network, and how easily those screens that the kids spend all damn day glued to can really screw things up for the hard-working adults.
It’s time to d-d-d-d-duel!
Feel free to subscribe/follow/like the Anibros Podcast but please don’t hack into our mainframe because we have no idea how to play Koi-Koi.
What’s up guys? Anyway, we have good news and bad news. Good news is that you have a new Anibros episode (oh boy)! This week we went to see Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Part III: Rebellion. It’s the hot new sequel to the acclaimed Madoka series with a limited theater release. Don’t worry though, we spend half the episode talking about other things so if you haven’t seen the film there’s plenty to enjoy. And if you have seen the film, come listen in as we react to and review it!
The bad news is that the audio quality is pretty bad. Not only did we use a single crappy microphone plugged into a shitty laptop line-in port with an awful cable, but we were driving at the time. All so we can bring you the hottest “news” in the anime world. If you can weather this though, you can make it through anything!
There will be suffering. Spoilers, I guess.
We apologize for the poor audio quality of this episode and solemnly swear never to release something this bad again. Please try to savor the laughter and tears enclosed within.
It’s time to put a stop to this madness and bring the Patrick Period of Power to an end. Nothing cools us off better than a nice sports anime. Did you think there wouldn’t be little girls involved because I said “sports?” Maybe you should have paid attention to the “anime” part because of course there are going to be girls! We watch Ro-Kyu-Bu!, a story about young lasses who are inexplicably involved with basketball.
Would you maids happen to know where the basketball club is?
Will it be a tale of determination and triumph? Or will these rookies not even play a single game? Get ready to find out!
